Pi Eye Games Has Been Renamed Clockwork Pixels!



After much thought, and seven years of game development, we decided to re-brand the site. The name 'Pi Eye Games' was always a bit odd, and hopefully 'Clockwork Pixels' speaks more of what we're about, a blend of the technical and the artistic.

As well as a new name, we've added many new features to the site. There's a customer forum, a development blog and you can get free games using our new 'credits' feature.

I'm new to downloadable games. How does it all work?

Downloadable games offer lots of fun and variety. Simply click the 'Download' links to download the setup file, then run this file to install the game. This will place an icon on your desktop which you can use to play the game. All the games can be played for an hour completely free of charge. If you enjoy a particular game and wish to purchase it please use the 'Buy Now' button either on this website or in the game's opening registration screen. You'll be sent a registration/activation code which will turn the demo version of the game into the unlimited version. For more information please view our beginners guide to purchasing our games :

I've lost my password and/or username. What do I do now?

Click on the 'My Account' link on the left hand side menu to go to the login page. Here you will find a section called 'Forgot Your Login Details?' where you can enter your email address. Our system will email you your username and a new password. You can change your password using the 'Update Details' button on the main account page.

This will only work if the email address entered is the same as the one we have on file for your account. If your email address has changed, please contact us via our 'Contact Us' page stating your old email address and order ID.
 

My email address has changed. How do I update my account information?

Please login using your account details and click on the 'Update Details' button. This will take you to a page where you can updated your username, password and email address.

If you have forgot your account details and cannot login please email us via our 'Contact Us' page stating your old email address and order ID.
 

I have rented the games. How do I play the full versions?

Please login using your account details. On the 'My Account' page you will find a section called 'Playing The Games'. Here you will find your registration details which can be entered into the opening screen of any game included in the package. Please make sure you download the games directly from PiEyeGames.com

Please note, the email address given in your registration details is not a real email address and cannot be used to receive or send emails.
 

Can I install and play the games on another computer?

Yes, please feel free to install and play all the games on any computer you own. All the games support player profiles so your whole family can play with the games remembering each person's progress.

Please note however, you must never share your account details or registration details with friends or via the internet. If a friend gives your account details to their friend and so on you will quickly lose control of your account and in order to prevent piracy we will be forced to cancel it.
 

I want to play the games for longer. How do I do this?

If you already have a Pi Eye Games account you can extend your rental term at any time using the usual 'Pi Eye Games Rental' buttons. When purchasing please use the email address we currently have on file and your purchased time will be added to your account.

If your rental term has expired your purchased time will commence from todays date, otherwise it will be used to extend your current expiration date.

If have already rented the games in the past you can also introduce a friend to Pi Eye Games. If your friend rents the games you will both receive an extra three months each for free. Please login to the 'My Account' page for more details.
 

The registration details given on the 'My Account' page don't work. Now what?

There are several reasons why the registration details may not work as expected.

1) Please make sure you have entered the registration details in correctly. Usually it's best to copy and paste these details directly to avoid typos (using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V).

2) Please note, when the game's opening screen asks for your email address, it is the email address given along with the registration key on the 'My Account' page that is required, not your real email address.

3) To combat piracy we may occasionally need to update the registration system. When unlocking a game please make sure to use your current registration details as shown on the 'My Account' page.

4) Another reason may be that your rental term has expired. Your registration details will expired within one or two days of your rental term.

If the above does not help please email us via our 'Contact Us' page stating your old email address and order ID.
 

I've lost my registration/activation details. What do I do now?

You will never have to buy another copy of your game to get a new registration/activation code.

If you have purchased a game from Pi Eye Games we will track down your order and send you instructions, which vary from game to game, on how to obtain your lost registration/activation details. This is of course entirely free of charge, once you have purchase a game from Pi Eye Games it's yours to keep!

For games developed at Pi Eye Games we'll be able to email you the registration/activation details straight away.

Please contact us via our support address for further assistance with at least some of the following information :

  • The game's name.
  • The order ID you received after purchasing the game.
  • The email address you used to purchase the game.
  • The date of purchase.

This will help us track down your order details and we'll email you straight back.
 

Can I install and register/activate a game without an internet connection?

Please email us with the name of the game before purchasing a game for a PC which does not have an interent connection. Most of the games can be installed on a PC without an internet connection and in most instances we'll be able to supply you with instructions, which vary from game to game, on how to do this. However, some games do require an internet connection during the registration/activation process.

For games developed at Pi Eye Games, simply burn the installer onto a CD and use this to install the game on your non-internet PC. You can then enter your registration/activation code without the need to go online.
 

Can I install the full version of my purchased game on another computer I own?

Yes, you can install any purchased game on a second computer. Please email us via our support address with the name of the game you have purchased and we'll send you instructions, which vary depending on the game, on how to do this.
 

Where is my registration/activation code?

Your registration/activation code will be emailed to you after your purchase has cleared. In most cases this is straight away and the email should be waiting for you. PayPal payments paid by e-check may take 3-4 working days to clear after which your registration/activation code will be sent to the email address you have on file with PayPal. The receipt you receive from PayPal is simply a confirmation that the transaction has taken place.

If you do not receive an email please check your 'spam' folder, sometimes legitimate emails do get blocked. Please contact us via our support address for further assistance with at least some of the following information :

  • The game's name.
  • The order ID you received after purchasing the game.
  • The email address you used to purchase the game.
  • The date of purchase.
 

How do I change my email address?

If you feel you may have made a typo when entering in your email address, or you have a new email address and would like to update our system please email our support address with some of the following information using your new address :

  • The game's name.
  • The order ID you received after purchasing the game.
  • The email address you used to purchase the game.
  • The date of purchase.
 

I cannot get a particular game to work. What can I do?

Many times crashing or lockup issues can be resolved by simply uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Some games may not work correctly if your PC does not meet their minimum 'System Requirements'. Please refer to the game's information page to see what these are, they vary from game to game.

Some issues can be resolved by updating your version of Microsoft DirectX, for more information please see the What is Microsoft DirectX and where can I get it? section. Also, please check Windows Update, or with your video card manufacturer's web site, for the latest drivers for your card.

In most cases the games developed by Pi Eye Games will ask you to use our online bug report form. This helps us to make the games more compatible and we look at each case that comes through.
 

I'm having problems with the game's sound/music. What can I do?

Many older sound cards aren't fully compatible with Microsoft DirectX. Usually, simply updating your sound card drivers will fix any strange sound problems you may encounter. Please check with your sound card manufacturer or their website for the latest drivers.
 

I'm having lockup or crashing problems. What can I do?

If you experience any lockups or crashes, please make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your video and audio hardware. The latest drivers for your cards can most often be found on the manufacturers website. Please also be sure to reboot your computer before playing after a lockup or crash.

In most cases the games developed by Pi Eye Games will ask you to use our online bug report form. This helps us to make the games more compatible and we look at each case that comes through.
 

What is Microsoft DirectX and where can I get it?

Microsoft DirectX is the part of Windows which allow most games to 'talk' to your graphics and sound hardware. Microsoft release a new version of DirectX around once a year. Most games are compatible with version 8.1 or later.

Most computers released over the last few years should be compatible with most of the games. If you have a suitable graphics card, you'll almost certainly have a suitable sound card.
